Find a player

Look a player up by their Rally ID to take them off the public lookup, or to erase them when they ask.

The Rally ID is on the player's record in their club's roster.

No names are kept here — that is the point. Only the club, the dates and who asked.

Removing someone takes them off the public lookup only: their club still sees them, their games still count, and you can put them back. Erasing deletes their name and details everywhere and cannot be undone; their games stay as “Former player”, so nobody else’s rating changes.

Skill levels

Click a name to rename. Players keep their tier when you reuse this roster.

Each player's skill is their own official DUPR rating (2.00-8.00), entered by hand — Rally Rotation doesn't sync live with DUPR. Matchmaking balances courts using these numbers instead of tiers.

Rating guide

  • Everyone starts at 3.50. Only scored games count.
  • Ratings update when you end a session.
  • A dashed number means under 10 games — it can still move a lot.
  • Matchmaking uses the exact number, not the level.
  • The nine levels above are separate from your tiers, which stay as they are.
Set every rating from History

Starts everyone from scratch and replays the saved games on top. Sessions with no game detail saved are skipped, so this can pull ratings toward the tier they started from. You see a preview before anything changes.

Beginner 2.75 · Novice 3.25 · Intermediate 3.75 · Advanced 4.5 · Pro 5.25. Unticked, everyone starts at 3.50. A rating you typed by hand is kept as that player's starting point.

Put ratings back

Sets every player back to the rating they had at the end of their last saved session. Use this if a recalculation gave an answer that looks wrong.

Reads the numbers each session recorded when it ended, so it does not depend on individual games having been saved.

Give unrated players a head start

Players with no rated games start from the middle of their tier instead of 3.50. Anyone with rated games is left alone.

Set ratings from a reviewed list

For when the numbers have been worked out away from the app. Paste one player per line: Rally ID or name, then the rating, then optionally how many games it is based on.

Matched by Rally ID where you give one, which cannot pick the wrong person. Anything it cannot place is listed rather than guessed at, and you see every change before it is applied.

A small bar under each name on the roster, and a progress block when you tap a player. Under 10 games shows “still settling”.

Full names

Tap a player on the Players tab to add theirs. Names on court stay exactly as they are — this is only the name a spectator page or another club would see.

Back up your data

Saves a file to this device with your roster, settings, upcoming sessions and all History. Keep a copy somewhere safe, like iCloud Drive, Google Drive or an email to yourself.

Records

Resets every player's Record and Last played date to match the sessions saved in History. Use it if the numbers look out of step after deleting a session.

A session is already in progress. Starting a new one will end and archive it.

Set up today’s session

The defaults are fine for most nights. Just check the court count.

Courts run on their own. When one finishes, start the Next group there. No need to wait on the others.

First in line goes to whichever court finishes first. Teams are set when the group reaches a court. Next is Ready: tell them to get ready. Later is Forming: the app may still adjust it.
